Ms. Rahel Woldegiorgis specializes in conflict resolution, and is the founder and principal consultant of First-Step Mediation Inc. She is a member of ADR Institute of Ontario (ADRIO). First-Step Mediation Inc is a conflict resolution firm partnering with individuals and organizations through an Equity, Diversity and Inclusive framework offering guided conflict resolution processes for a wide range of disputes using an interest-based model towards mutually beneficial results and outcomes. Ms. Woldegiorgis has 20 years of professional experience with an educational background including a Honors Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, 2014’; Master of Arts Social Justice and Community Engagement with distinction from Wilfrid Laurier University, 2017’; Project Management Graduate Certificate from Humber College, 2020’ and Mediation Alternative Dispute Resolution with distinction from Durham College, 2021’. She is certified in Prosci Change Management 2021’ and is trained in anti-oppression psychotherapy through Healing Consultants, Refugee Mental Health and Single Session Counseling from CAMH. She is currently undertaking a Certificate in The Essentials for Ombuds through a collaboration between the Forum of Canadian Ombudsman and Osgoode Professional Development.
