Ella Forbes-Chilibeck works as a mediator, lawyer and investigator in labour, employment and human rights at the federal and provincial level. After completing her law degree with the University of Ottawa, Ella was called to the Ontario Bar (2006) and the Nunavut Bar (2010).  Ella is currently a Qualified Mediator and a member of the ADR Institute of Ontario. Ella completed the Harvard Mediation Intensive program (Harvard Law School) and received her Certificate in Organizational Coaching (UBC) in the spring of 2024. Ella has practiced exclusively in the areas of employment, labour and human rights both in private practice and in academia, representing both employees and employers.

Ella's approach to dispute resolution focuses on crafting effective and practical solutions.  She is a certified workplace investigator and has appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, both the Canadian and the Ontario Labour Boards as well as the Canadian and Ontario Human Rights tribunals andthe Public Sector Integrity Commission.

Before attending law school, Ella enjoyed a successful career as a behavioural consultant, mediating conflict, developing successful coping skills and effective accommodation strategies to assist individuals with mental, physical, and emotional challenges.
