About Me


Ilana J. Miller has over 25 years of experience as a mediator and arbitrator for high conflict family law disputes. Ilana has been in full-time private practice since 2002. She is both a Chartered and Accredited Family Mediator, who provides: Arbitration; Mediation/Arbitration; Closed and Open mediation; Child-Includive Mediation; the Voice of the Child Reports coupled with specializing as a Collaborate Family Law neutral. 


As an adjunct to the services listed above, Ilana Miller also provided consultation to lawyers under the auspices of the Office of The Children's Lawyer, a branch of the Attorney General. She oversaw s.112 and assisted in s.89 to represent best interests of children for specialty cases.


Ilana has been conferred with two graduate degrees, one in child and family psychology from the University of Toronto and a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall Law School, specializing in family law, dispute resolution. She is an active member of ADRIC, ADRIO, OAFM, and FDRIO. Ilana also holds three certifications with FDRIO for Mediation, Arbitration and Parenting Coordination. A select few in Ontario holding all three desigantions. Ilana has also been conferred as a Chartered Mediator, the highest designation for practicing mediators in Canada.


Ilana Miller has focused on cases involving separation and divorce, where decision making and parenting time matters are front and centre. 


Ilana served on the FDRIO board and started a multidisciplinary peer group in regard to Mediation and Arbitration. Ilana was an active participant on the High Conflict Forum. She was also a Certified member of the OACCPP and was a Board Member of the OACCPP and chaired the Professional Conduct Committee, and sat on the Ethics and Governance & Risk Management Committees. OACCPP has since been renamed as Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals, OAMHP.
