Avra is a founding partner of Rosen Sack LLP.  She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1987. Her practice is exclusively devoted to familylaw, focusing on complex income, equalization and valuation issues includingthe interaction of family law issues with business and corporate law,shareholders’ remedies, family trusts and income tax related issues, and marriage contratcts.  As a litigator, Avra negotiated complex disputes and had extensive trial andappellate experience at all levels of the Ontario Courts including the SuperiorCourt of Justice and the Court of Appeal. 

Presently, she is primarily acting as a medaitor and arbitrator in family law. Avra relies on her family law experience to bring an empathetic and innovative approach to conductingmediation, using foundational best practices for both mediation andarbitration, as developed by The Minerva Group, of which Avra is a foundingmember. As an arbitrator, Avra acts as a litigation/arbitration manager to ensure spouses have access to timely awards due to the backlog in the Courts, regularly hears temporary motions and family law arbitrations.

Avra is a LSO Certified Specialist (Family Law), frequent speaker and lecturer on family law issues, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers as both a family law lawyer and family law mediator, and is also a Lexpert Ranked Lawyer.
