Justin Safayeni maintains a broad civil and public law practice, with particular experience in the areas of media, privacy and defamation law; professional discipline and administrative law; and commercial litigation. He serves as independent legal counsel to a variety of tribunals both within and outside the regulated health sector, and as a counsel and advisor to numerous public sector institutions on matters relating to the conduct of investigations. Justin also has a particular interest in sport law. In addition to regularly representing sport organizations and individual claimants before the Sport Dispute Resolution Centre of Canada, Justin has also served as part of discipline panels responsible for hearing and deciding sports-related disputes, and has experience conducting sports-related investigations.
